EE – 1206 Rust and Corrosion Inhibitor Additive
Introduction:-
EE – 1206 is specially formulated non staining, odorless having lubricity and antiwear properties with special additives. It can be used as a rust inhibitor/friction modifier in various applications. It is an oil soluble & Water Soluble Rust & Corrosion Inhibitor Additive recommended for turbine oils, circulating oils, hydraulic oils, greases, automotives, Cutting oils & various metalworking applications.
Formulations:-
EE – 1206 is effective in protecting bright, ground, or highly polished steel & other metal surfaces. Solvent or oil blends can be applied by brushing, dipping, or spraying. Solvent solutions deposit a thin, essentially dry film used extensively on tools, finished surfaces, etc. Rust preventives containing EE 1206 are excellent in acid atmospheres and are used top rotect metals exposed to acid fumes. Which can performs antioxidants , moisture resistance, Coating agent Etc.
Component Dosages:-
Napthanic oil………………………………….……0.5 to 2 %
Paraffinic oil…………………………………..……0.5 to 2 %
Solvents- (Kerosene, Toluene, MTO, Etc) …..…0.5 to 5 %
Applications:-
- It is non-staining having detergent, dispersant properties.
- It gives better performance at lower concentrations and also cost effective.
- It is non acidic in nature hence there are no chances of reverse effect on degradation and formations of acids at higher temperatures
- Higher maximum protection due to high thermal stability.
- Effective on ferrous and non ferrous metals.
- It has excellent reserved alkalinity which protects oil degradation.
- Even at higher concentrations it does not allow gum and lacquer/varnish formations.
- Excellent inherent discrepancy, which helps in preventing deposit formation.
- It prevents catalytic effect of the metal at higher temperatures.
- Compatible with all conventional automotive and industrial additives.
- It is superior to all other sulfonates and the demulsibility increases as the concentrations goes up allowing to achieve demulsibility and rust inhibition simultaneously.
- It can be used to solubilize other additives system without compromising the formulations.
